WEDDING & RECEPTION GUIDELINES
(FOR MEMBERS ONLY) The following guidelines and procedures have been developed as standards for any wedding and/or wedding reception held at Carmody Hills Baptist Church. All desiring to have a wedding and/or reception must be a current-active member in good standing. (If active church members are unaware of their status, please refer to church Constitution and By-laws or see any Trustee.) The member must be in complete agreement and compliance with these guidelines. ROOM CAPACITY Sanctuary – 182 persons Lower auditorium 100 persons PULPIT All wedding ceremonies are to be performed by your Pastor. Any member wishing to use someone else besides the Pastor of this church must receive the proper authority from the current Pastor. An associate minister will be available during each wedding ceremony. The couple is required to attend counseling sessions with the Pastor. FOOD/BEVERAGE No food is to be prepared at the church. Food may be prepared by an outside source. The food provided at your affair is the sole responsibility of the church member requesting use of auditorium. The cleanup of the kitchen is the responsibility of the individuals who prepared the food. NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED FOR ANY PURPOSE. (PLEASE NOTE: Deposit will not be returned upon disapproval of uncleanness.) MUSIC Music is the sole responsibility of the church member requesting use of the facility. All music played in the sanctuary or lower auditorium must be Instrumental or Christian based music. The church pianist or organist may be available for an additional charge ($200.00). Please contact the Music Department of Minister of Music. CUSTODIAL SERVICES The services can be obtained through the church for an additional fee of ($150.00). The services provided consist of cleaning of the restrooms, disposing of trash, and taking down decorations, cleaning the floors and rearranging furniture. Cleaning of kitchen will be the responsibility of those persons responsible for food service. Please request this by acknowledging below or contact the Trustees two weeks prior to date of occasion. SECURITY DEPOSIT There will be a security deposit in the amount of $200.00. The security deposit must be paid (1) month in advance. CASH OR MONEY ORDER PAYMENT ONLY. The security deposit will be returned if all elements of these guidelines are met in full compliance. A walk through will be done before and after decorations or any structural changes take place. If the church provides custodial services, the $150.00 fee will be deducted from the security deposit as payment. Initial TIME FRAME The time allotted for the requested occasion will not exceed five (5) hours. An example of breakdown of time frame could proceed as follows: 1 – hour set-up and decoration time (sanctuary and/or lower auditorium) ½ - hour wedding ceremony 3 hours for requested occasion (includes pictures guest greetings, the meal service and cake cutting.) ½ hour for final cleanup of all areas (all areas must be left the way they were found.) This (5) hour allotted time frame can be broken up in any manner that you see fit. WEDDING REHEARSAL A wedding rehearsal may be scheduled prior to wedding date by contacting the church office at least two weeks prior. Coordinators are requested to be in attendance at this time. CHURCH STAFF/COMMITTEE A Trustee, a Deacon, a Minister and 2 committee members will be available at each designated occasion. These individuals are not to be used as assistants to your occasion, but as responsible overseers for the church. PLEASE NOTE: We ask that you respect your church and these guidelines. Enter and depart the building on time so that our Deacon and Trustees may lock-up and/or prepare for our next service. |
WEDDING RENTAL AGREEMENT
(NON MEMBERS) The following guidelines and procedures have been developed as standards for any wedding held at Carmody Hills Baptist Church. ROOM CAPACITY Sanctuary – 182 persons RENTAL FEES AND SECURITY DEPOSIT The rental fee for use of the church is ($650.00). A security deposit in the amount of $350.00 is due at the time the application is submitted. The balance is due two weeks prior to the wedding date. All fees must be paid by cash or money order. No checks will be accepted. If the wedding is cancelled, the deposit may be returned on a case by case basis. PULPIT Anyone wishing to use someone besides the Pastor of this church to perform the ceremony must receive the proper authority from the current Pastor. Pastors will render marriage vows for ($250.00). An associate minister will be available to render service if requested for ($150.00). MUSIC Music is the sole responsibility of the individual requesting use of the church. All music played in the sanctuary must be Instrumental or Christian based music. The church pianist or organist may be available for ($200.00), or the use of the instruments (piano and or organ to be used by the musician of your choice ($100.00). CUSTODIAL SERVICES The services ($150.00) provided consist of cleaning of the restrooms, disposing of trash, and taking down decorations, cleaning the floors and rearranging furniture, cleaning of kitchen before and after event. TIME FRAME The time allotted for the requested occasion will not exceed (3) hours. An example of breakdown of time frame could proceed as follows: 1-hour set-up and decoration time 1 -hour wedding ceremony ½ hour for pictures and greeting guest ½ hour for final clean up (the sanctuary must be returned to its original condition) The three hour allotted time frame can be broken up in any manner determined by bride and groom. WEDDING REHEARSAL A wedding rehearsal may be scheduled for the night prior to the wedding date by contacting a trustee or the church secretary at least two weeks prior. The Wedding Coordinators are requested to be in attendance at this time. NO REHEARSAL DINNER WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE CHURCH. The wedding rehearsal is limited to two (2) hours. CHURCH STAFF A trustee, a deacon, a Minister will be available at each designated occasion. These individuals are not to be used as assistants to your occasion, but as responsible overseers for the church.
